They have always gone flawlessly for me. Do you happen to have a dedicated (such as Nvidia or AMD/ATI) video card? I know that can be problematic when installing a new kernel (which happens on most...
Do you have a launcher like gnome-do or synapse? That should make it easier to find your settings if it's not showing up in your menu.
(I think the general lack of response of this forum is due to...
I actually have this exact USB device and it is the reason I initially came to Ubuntu many years ago because it was the first linux distribution I found that supported it out of the box.
I plugged...
My roommate had this happen with the audio of the 1st episode of the Jackie Chan Animated Series. It's bizarre.
As future proof as possible would be a desktop (Plus you'll get more performance for your buck).
Here's a good list of Ubuntu-certified hardware.
As 12.10 is only a couple days old at this point, perhaps one will arrive before too long.
In Ubuntu 12.04, someone made a PPA with a modified version of Unity that re-enabled Window Dodge. I tried it, as I really wanted that feature, but it was really buggy, so I went back to stock. Even...
What desktop environment are you using? Your link refers to Gnome-Shell, but you didn't specify if that is your environment too.
Can you give us the model of your laptop? Any additional info can be helpful.

1:3.6.1~rc2-1ubuntu3~precise1 is listed as the latest version, but if you look, it says that libreoffice failed to build on AMD64. 64 bit users (like me) still only get 3.6.0-rc4
EDIT: It also...
I also have 3.6.02. It's the most updated version I've found. I thought it had the default app menu, but you still might need to install "libreoffice-gtk3", because I have that installed too.
Instructions for Debian (which should be very similar to Ubuntu) are located here
Perhaps you are missing the
firmware-linux-nonfree package?
I have a Samsung N120 (which is just a slightly newer version of the NC10). Once you get everything installed, I'll be happy to help you get the hotkeys and other stuff working.
It looks like your gnome shell extensions package is looking for Gnome 3.5, a development version of Gnome.
12.04.1 only has Gnome 3.4.2, so this package won't install.
Have you tried visiting...
I installed it on my 12.04.1 install using this ppa
Are they in some sort of different file format?
Do you have more than 200 files? This article seems to indicate that that is the default limit.
That seems to be a pretty old card. This means that you already have the latest version installed with your kernel. This page has installation instructions, but they haven't been needed for quite a...
