I mean reset the key combination that activates the hotkey:

I have a similar problem running Unity. Under Keyboard in the settings, I can make a custom shortcut, which then works fine. Subsequently however, the shortcut doesn't seem to work until I reset the...
The new Dell XPS 13 developer edition sports a 1080p 13.3" screen and comes preinstalled with Ubuntu. I have not seen one in person, so it is possible that it requires a magnifying glass to use, but...
I tried reinstalling 12.04 (with a clean wipe of the home directory) to see if that would fix the issue.
It did not; I have the same problem running a 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04.
Pulseaudio stutters...
Same issue, same workaround.
11.10 32-bit w/ Intel Graphics.
Go into applications and drag it over from there. That fixed it for me.
If someone is willing to spare one of their invites on me, I'd sure appreciate it.
Point taken, the only bug report I found was filed with google (who dismissed it as a Ubuntu problem).
Anyway, installing the newest Nvidia driver seemed to fix the issue with me.
It is unbelievable to me that this hasn't been fixed yet. This is a huge problem.
I can't give a reasonable answer for my favorite song, but The View by Modest Mouse is certainly up there.
Same hardware, same problem.
NEEEEEERD. Then I quietly approve in my head.
Ubuntu 10.10 with Orta theme:

The first point is just absurdly hyperbolic and is phrased in a way that makes it impossible to argue with. Canonical is not taking money away from a non-profit foundation. In all likelihood, through...
As a brief update, this also works with the Samsung Alias 2 (I haven't tried writing to it).
There's another (better) guide that automates this process:...
More or less the default settings for 10.10 with dockbarx and rainlendar.

I'm trying to run a 32 bit binary on a 64-bit Ubuntu install (lucid) and I've gotten all the proper libraries via getlib. However, when I try to run the program, I get this output:
Can't open...
Sierra Nevada Celebration is probably my favorite beer, but right now I have Victory Wild Devil and Victory Helios on tap right now; both are damn good in their own right.
I lied, placebo effect tricked me.
IPv6 is disabled, I'm using OpenDNS servers and linux is still unbearably slow. It's incredible how much faster things load in virtualbox (running win 7).
...
Well Ipv6 was disabled for default for me and I've already stated previously that disabling it doesn't do anything. So to be more clear, I've started using OpenDNS servers inside network manager. ...
Well, I just changed it in Ubuntu (previously had tried changing it in my router, which didn't help at all) and websites definitely appear to load quicker. I'll update later after some more...
I tried doing this through grub and firefox's settings. Windows 7 in vbox still blows ubuntu out of the water.
I have a similar (maybe the same) issue. Browsing is slower in Ubuntu than it is in a guest OS (Vbox) of windows 7, both 64-bit. This doesn't make sense to me.
I've tried speed tests and they...
It bugged me for awhile too. Here's a breakdown of a couple of ways to do this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=5491537#post5491537
I like the fourth method the best, but you need to...
