    I found out what it was, the file it was referencing for a file list was empty so there really was no such file, I explain further in my edit above.

    Any time I run UT2004 on nix I log into Openbox to run it, I see about a 30% increase in most games but I do not know exactly the improvement in UT, but I notice it loads faster and runs smoother.
