I would be glad to help on this project. I would be interested to see how this would go. :-)
Have you tried downloading, going to the directory it is in and typing the following?
sudo dpkg --force-architecture -i <packagename>
That would be my first step if you haven't done so.
Through Synaptic, download compizconfig-settings-manager. then when installed, run it through system > preferences. There is an option for a cube desktop. Also there are many other options. Hope this...
Some programs will probably work on Linux as well. You can check around. Wine is also a decent solution for some programs. You might want to look into that. Also, if you browse Add-Remove and...

There is a good list of tycoon games here:

Let me know if you have any problems and I will see what I can do.
yes, boot from the live cd (cd you installed with was most likely a live cd) and choose to run without installing. This guide I am linking below may help you. You should be able to resize it without...
If dual boot, I would recommend booting to live cd and using gparted. Are you familiar with it? Let me know whether this works or if you use Wubi. If you are unfamiliar with gparted, let me know and...
Dual boot or using Wubi?
Keep us updated. If you still have the problem when you get 64 bit loaded, we can take it from there. Your particular system may just need to use 64 bit.
Not an answer to your question, but I am running i386 on my 64 bit just fine. Possibly a hardware issue? Or corrupt image?
Why not just use Mythbuntu?
Thank you all for your help. :-)
I am interested in getting started using python, and I was just interested in how some of you learned.
I would have to agree with those who suggested either Banshee or RhythmBox. I prefer Banshee, but Rhythmbox would probably be an easier transition from iTunes if you have been using that.
Though there are ways, typically you will sacrifice security in other ways. Many people use proxies.
Ok, so tell me what all you have done at this point. I apologize for taking so long to get back with you.
Will you pull up the partition editer and upload a screenshot so I can see where the partitions are? I will be able to help you more easily if I can see what I am working with.
You can incorporate that into another partition if you want, by growing the partition on the other side of it from Ubuntu. Does that make sense?
First try "sudo dpkg --configure -a" and see if that resolves it. If not, let me know.
That is a very good point. This is another case of "just because you can doesn't mean you should." Security would be minimal if at all existant. When I said you can, I was in no way implying you...
Ok, we might be able to get to the bottom of this. I want you to look at a couple of things. If you can't figure anything out, either paste the output here or send it to me and I will look through...
