I would try using something other then lili. I've had issues with it when it came to booting ubuntu, try unetbootin.

Well open the software center then go to edit>software sources> and there should be like a "other" or "third party" tab with all the ppa's you added, just uncheck the box next to them and run
sudo...

Try un-commenting all the lines that start with own_window

Your gonna have to boot into a Ubuntu Live CD and then from there unmount your hard drive and expand your ubuntu partition to take up the extra space.
