    Poll: Re: Firefox 3's Keyhole

    EDIT : ah..nice...

Re: Running 3d games in a Virtual Machine?

With Virtualbox, it's out of the question.

VMWare Workstation appears to support it. But I don't think it's free.

Otherwise, try wine/cross over office/cedega or dualboot.

    Poll: Re: Firefox 3's Keyhole

    That's the keyhole?

I've added the meh option, and I voted it too. Looks ugly, and outbalanced. I can see the logic that people use the back button more..but..it still looks ugly. I tried Firefox...
  10. Re: OpenOffice needs a total UI overhaul, but how can I get this plan to some devs?

You will be pleased to know that this is fixed in Hardy.

And personally, I agree with the OP's comments. There are a lot of useless options that can be removed, and a lot of bloat that should be...

Re: is the paperless office a pipedream?

With regard to paper/parchment..the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered after how many hundreds of years? In a less than perfect environment?

In contrast, most of my floppy disks don't work.

    Also,...

    Re: Multiple installs of wine

I'm not a wine guru, but you're still not using different versions of wine with wineprefixcreate..

As in, you can't have wine0.5.8 and wine 0.4.6 installed at the same time on the computer, and...
  18. Re: If you could be any Video Game Character...

Well..Warcraft is more than just a game. It's become, quite literally, a world of its own. Try wikipedia for more info..

Re: Proposal re Forum Banning for discussion

I've also got to agree somewhat with this. We're a forum - and our main function is to help Ubuntu users. Guess what..if everybody does that and follows the CoC, we mods would be whistling Dixie, and...
  23. Re: Putting an end to wasted display area, gnome 3.0 style.

I actually like some big buttons and some padding. Ok, perhaps Gnome could do with some slimming down, but not to that extreme, imho!
  24. Re: If you could be any Video Game Character...

Who on earth who wants to be a video game character?? Especially the goons who go about with video game avatars...and hell, even their usernames!! Seriously, get a life, and stop playing games!
