[kubuntu] Re: Brother printer support for Kubuntu ?

I use to have to download and go through all that script nonsense . It was always time consuming, and didn't always work at first. I needed to tweak the PPD files.
Not anymore. For some reason all...
  2. Re: How disable automatic delete of packages in var/cache/apt/archives ?

Use apt-get instead of apt, then they will stay.

  3. Re: Frustration over Linux's time-consuming issues

Amen to that! snap & flatpaks are the first to go on all my systems.

Xubuntu has Gimp installed, and I have yet to have any issues. Then again, each user has their own agenda. Many of Gimps...

  6. Re: Which smartphone brand do you think provides best service in least price?

Your right! $5 bucks a month for $59. I have an LG440 that I've used for many years. The phone cost $10. Bought a second one for $5, in case the battery fails on the first one. But you HSN is even a...

  10. [SOLVED] Re: GRUB2 booting with labels (no UUID) (10 years later)

I use labels for all my boots, with the exception of windows. I'm guessing you haven't had a lot of input because of slightly confusing context. I don't use grub scripts.
    I will show using labels...

As long as its not NTFS file system, I prefer fsarchiver to Clonezilla. It also only copies used data, with the added benefit of restoring to a smaller drive. Plus its much simpler. Getting CZ to do...
