  1. Re: Ubuntu Dual Boot with Windows 7 not working

You may just want to reinstall, never trust the windows restore feature I say :D
  2. [SOLVED] Re: Upgrade from 12.10 to 13.10 via Command Line?

    Yeah the command is correct.
However if you have a CD or USB you can upgrade Ubuntu via that too without a reinstall.

Re: Unity, great or bad, and why?

I remain neutral on Unity as I both love it and hate it at the same time.
On one hand its locked down, offers very little customization, and you need so much to make it work the way you want to.

  6. Poll: Smart Scopes: Good or bad or just plain horrible

I decided to make a poll about this as I do hope I am not alone in my dislike for the new smart scopes in Ubuntu 13.10.
I mean holy crud does smart scopes bite the proverbial gluteus maximus.
    I...

Re: Help me rank distros in difficulty level

Well it goes down to the matter that windows comes pre installed on practically every computer out there, meanwhile linux comes on a mere handful of computers.

Re: Help me rank distros in difficulty level

Well if you think this is a linux issue only you are dead wrong.
Windows also needs codecs and drivers to work.
Linux cannot come with codecs by default by law, most of those codecs are under...

Re: Nomenclature, Geekiness and Ease of Use

Well gnome is trying to do what you want...

Re: Help me rank distros in difficulty level

Well to be fair I do think most of the intermediate distros any user can pick up, even Ubuntu is very easy on its own and decent for beginners.
The big stumbler is there not being any codecs being...
  16. Re: Please have a look at my Star OS concepts and tell me what you think

Actually Unity is pretty decent with a mouse, but yeah the rest of the mobile UI's dont know what a mouse is.
  17. Re: Please have a look at my Star OS concepts and tell me what you think

Eh its the same story here as every UI involving the move to mobile UI's.

Have you ever heard of a mouse?
You know one of these things?...

The forum was hacked out of a flaw in Vbullitin then a hole in Ubuntu itself, the forums do not reflect the security of the OS
  20. Re: Now that the Ubuntu Edge has failed can we please stop with the mobile stuff?

  23. Re: can anyone who likes the 12.xx Unity interface tell me why?
