I tried to upgrade from 10.04 to 12

Nightmare , broke most of my packages ( CAElinux)

gave up , will try again in JULY when its stable ( as noted in release notes )

The question then is;...

i DID get 12.04 installed and ,,,,,,it kind of works , but all of the packages used on 10.04 are broken

I was using CAELinux ...

I changed the sources file and updated...

all the updates , or distro upgrades? ( 11.04 10 etc)

at the moment I have downloaded 12.04 ( beta ) and thrown it at the laptop seems to be working ....

just strange that last night ( Im sure...

Last night I saw on the Ubuntu front page and from other sources that 12.04 lts was ready to upgrade , so

and away we go , slow but ,,,,

Can Confirm, tried a few things , and even with Bluetooth manager , it will crash after a few seconds

Its very hit and miss, sometimes works fine , more often than not it doesn't work

problems include full screen causes program to slow right down , to an unusable speed

linking to other...

Well that did the trick , though I dont know why , and the report say there is 1 bad sector ( what does that mean?)

Ive had a partition, I was booting from suddenly go bad
