Re: [Kubuntu] ZFS support in installer?

Your link looks like it's incomplete. However, the first thing I did is search the kubuntuforums for 'ZFS', and unfortunately that results in 0 hits.

It looks like the forums are not good places...

Re: [Kubuntu] ZFS support in installer?

Can you install on an encrypted ZFS root with a netinstall? I thought only the Ubuntu gui installer could, but maybe I'm wrong!

Ermmmm, it's about the installer, my young padawan. Those are completely different.

If you don't have the answer, it's OK to not reply ;)

    [Kubuntu] ZFS support in installer?

Does anyone know if Kubuntu's installer is planned to have ZFS support, like regular Ubuntu? Tried searching their website, mailing list, forums, but I can't find any talk on this.

Re: Who's in charge of the Thunderbird package?

Getting TB68 isn't the issue, it's wether or not it's still coming in the official packages, as some sources claim, or if the package is practically or officially orphaned.

Re: Who's in charge of the Thunderbird package?

When v68.0 just came out, the same stories we're spread about 68.1. I'd just like to have some comment from an actual package maintainer. The listed team on packages.ubuntu.com is not very specific...

Who's in charge of the Thunderbird package?

The Thunderbird package was rumored to be (at long last) updated to v68 early september, but that time is about to pass, making the delay between the original v68 from Mozilla and availability in...

    [kubuntu] [15.04] Nvidia drivers available?

Since it's out, I want to install the new Kubuntu. I couldn't find however if the NVidia drivers are in the repo's already. I prefer not to install the binary ones because of automatic kernel updates...

[SOLVED] Re: 15.04 Kate does not save preferences

Excellent, that find command led to a number of kate-related files in ~/.config and ~/.local (apparently ~/.kde is not used for everything). Chowning solved it, settings are now saved and read back...

[SOLVED] Re: 15.04 Kate does not save preferences

I had chowned ~/.kde already too, no effect.

I'm quite familiar with the commandline btw, just not so much with distro or KDE specific stuff.

[SOLVED] Re: 15.04 Kate does not save preferences

Hmm, I spoke too soon. I did run sudo kate somewhere shortly after setup, in order to modify /etc/fstab. Not sure if it was the first thing I did, but, following up, I see no kate-directory in...

[SOLVED] 15.04 Kate does not save preferences

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but Kate does not save any preferences or session data in an up to date Kubuntu 15.04 install. Running Kate from a terminal does not indicate any problems with...

I just tried it on another system, which displays the same issue: very slow speeds. This system has Ubuntu 11.10, and mp3fs .30.

    [ubuntu] mp3fs very slow

I have a collection of music in Flac and Mp3, and every month or so I reconvert my 3-or-higher rated music on my computer to Mp3 for use on my Android. Since this is fairly time-consuming and 99%...

[SOLVED] Re: 10.04.3: grub doesnt install correctly.

Weird. My bios has the option to press a key for a bootmenu, which allows you to boot off any attached storage device. By accident I discovered that booting from my ubuntu-drive then did work!...

[SOLVED] Re: 10.04.3: grub doesnt install correctly.

[SOLVED] Re: 10.04.3: grub doesnt install correctly.

I am sure (booting from the other drive results in the same underscore). I have tried installing Ubuntu on the other partition (effectively swapping the swap and / partitions).
