try restarting your computer
extensions suspend button. may check the settings nest to the button - i believe there is something to the left of the button.
it shows up in my extension list -...
p.s. you can find tweak tool in the software store.
install tweak tool and then go into extensions and turn on suspend

try that - a space between the install and gnome is needed from my notes. sorry about that

just an after thought. when i installed 18.04 i installed all of the extra codecs and packages so that i was covered in as much as i could. did you install all or do a minimal install? good luck.
plug in the usb from the tablet - go into settings and devices - there is wacom tablet toward the bottom of the list. it says cannot find tablet but put the pen/nib close to the tablet and it...

sorry - just scanned the post - but you can remove some of the stuff you do not need re: apps - calculator, amazon, and some of the stuff i do not remember that comes with it.. not other misc. stuff...
