It sounds like it is more work than it is worth to figure out. It seems like ubuntu worked better years ago than it does now. I am not sure if it is ubuntu, or hardware is harder to work with, but...
Thank you for your reply. Do you know what logs to look at specifically? I can't switch to a console after I suspend, I tried, but it did not work.
when I suspend my computer, it comes back with just text on the screen (what shows on the screen before the graphical display. However it is frozen, and I can't even ctl+alt+f1 does not work. I...
I couldn't find an icp for the monitor. It is an lg 27up80B. It looks like they make some calibration software called TRUE COLOR PRO, for windows and mac, but not linux.
Interesting... I did not even know that is there. Thanks!
The option to calibrate is still grayed out when they are off.
I have a rtx3060 with the nvidia drivers installed. But I don't know of any software for it to adjust color.
I guess I should say the calibrate is grayed out. I do see the i mark, so I guess that means it needs to be calibrated, but I don't see how. Am I supposed to remove the profile? My screen is new.
Yes, I have looked there, but there is no "calibrate" to press. This is why I am asking if it is already calibrated, or is there something else I am missing?

I need to make sure my monitors are set to accurate colors. Does this mean they are configured, or is there something else I need to do?

That did it! Changing the mount location to mnt rather than media fixed the problem. I had tried mounting it in my home directory, but that also did not work.
Thanks! I have been trying to...
I made those changed to my minidlna.conf file, but it didn't make any difference.
I also tried using a flash drive that is formatted to ntfs, but that also did not work.
I agree. I have also thought it must be something to do with the permissions, and I have tried a lot of settings. But maybe I just have not used the correct one. However I find it really strange...
I have searched on here, and found a lot of instances where this is a problem, but I have tried all the solutions, and none seem to work.
minidlna.c:670: error: Media directory...
Thanks... I am installing that now to give it a try
Thanks.... That is what I was looking for :)
I think this should be easy, but I don't know how to do it. I would like to make a script that would execute these two lines:
mencoder <input.mp4> -ovc xvid -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=128...
I just noticed one more thing. I am not sure it is casuing any problems, but I noticed this:
$ man sed
man: can't set the locale; make sure $LC_* and $LANG are correct
The man page came up...
Thanks. I just did an update, and it didn't cause any problems this time.
I see I have 45 updates right now, but I don't know if I want to update, since the last time it changed to chinese. Does anyone know why, or if this has been fixed?
nevermind, I finally got it working by doing this:
Solution:
1) edit /etc/default/locale:
LANG="en_US"
LANGUAGE="en_US:en"
I just run into this problem today. I have most of it fixed now, using the suggestions here, but I still get a popup in chromium asking me if I want to translate (at least that is what I think it is...
I tried that as well, but when I tried to install the first one, I got a list of several others that couldn't install.
However I just tried installing handbrake again to get the file to install,...
I am getting the same errors as I posted on the first post. However I don't think it is the Stebbins PPA, becuase I got that error before I tried to install the Stebbins PPA. I am not sure which...
Thanks. That was the first thing I did, but I have tried everything I could find other people used, and none of it worked mor me (see post #1 for the things I tried).
