Works O.K. here on Ubuntu 20.04.
  2. Re: Where can I learn most used Ubuntu Commands?

What might be helpful is a desktop tool to retain commands which you learn over time (rather than copying and pasting from fora).
Just look at the number of commands under various topics here.

  4. Re: Problems installing LUbuntu 20.04.1 from scratch

You can set ESP partition boot flags through Gparted which I use from LiveUSB.
  5. Re: I search replacement of Cherry Tree

    In defence.

That is not quite the case. True, the old Python2 based CherryTree is discontinued but the new GTK3 version emerges.
In fact I continue to use both on Ubuntu 20.04 .. and Windows 10....
  6. Re: I search replacement of Cherry Tree

    KeepNote build - 2012
    CherryTree build - 2020

But if you are determined to migrate I would use export HTML in CherryTree then import HTML in KeepNote.

  8. Re: I search replacement of Cherry Tree

You will find it difficult to find anything better than CherryTree. It is locked into my workflow.
Current version 0.99.15 in Ubuntu 20.04.
I use CherryTree in a toolchain. I would consider...

  10. [SOLVED] Re: Seeking info on copy command for backing up files

    This triggered a thought.
There are occasions when say after using photorec for data recovery there is a large
set of images which have only numbers as names. They need to be categorised.
    A brief...
  11. [SOLVED] Re: Seeking info on copy command for backing up files

If you have Synaptic Package Manager installed, search "rename" and there are several tools you can try for batch file renaming.

Re: How to search my database

You can also try a GUI like SearchMonkey but it will be much slower than ripgrep.

    [Later note added]

Here is another helpful blog on ripgrep usage giving examples.

Re: How to search my database

You seem to have a <space> between "extract" and ".zip"

Probably why there are no matches .. with rg, ag, recoll or find.

Explore the regex methods in rg.

Or continuing with "find" try ..

  18. Re: My SDD is not booting anymore - Unable to access

Have you ever had this file on another drive and then deleted after copying to your SSD?
If so, then there is a slim chance that you might recover it as a deleted file on the other drive.[/COLOR]

i admit that this is an outlier suggestion .. usually sudo update-grub does the job but you can't get into your OS so that is why I suggest rEFInd. It should not affect anything, only adding another...
