Works perfectly for me. I just followed the directions in his Readme, I'm using nvidia driver not nouveau.
I've had quite some success. I now consider the switching "solved" however, I use gentoo, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to use my solutions on ubuntu. This is what I mean by "solved"

In that case it isn't working. /var/log/messages indicates that it is working with: asus_nvidia: disable discrete graphics card. It still shows up in lspci.
