  1. [kubuntu] Re: fstab no longer mounting nfs shares at boot

There's only 2 tricks to autofs.

The auto.master controls the top level directory for each sub-file which holds the configs.
If you use an auto.master like this:

    /- /etc/auto.nfs

I treat physical servers and virtual machines the same. The only difference is that VMs have really compatible hardware, so there are never any driver issues inside VMs. I use KVM as the...

Ubuntu 16.04 support ends in about 6 months. It is well passed time to move to a different release - really should have moved 2 yrs ago so the customers can do their migrations as well.

mdb files are more complex than you seem to realize. They can hold code, 50 tables, layouts, functions and they can be locked and encrypted. So, the first step is to clearly decide what your...
  7. Re: how does remote desktop give improved performance?

    Is the Windows GPU better?
Which DE does your Ubuntu use?
Which remote desktop method is being used? x2go can fly over the internet with good connections provided Gnome3 isn't used.

[SOLVED] Re: Command to find public IP address

I keep personal files in 2 places. One for scripts and the other for notes. When creating those files, I add in comments with all sorts of search terms, since I learned 30 yrs ago, if I can't find...
