    I think I found the problem, I was playing around with some Bios settings and I forgot to return them.

    the 9XXXXX drivers ran good
    the 169.xx drivers ran bad
    the 17X.XX drivers are running good...

    This is getting crazy, I'll Install one driver and I'll get fast performance in all my games, then I'll install the next version up and everything will slow down to a crawl. Is anyone else...

    silverlight and moonlight are the same thing for the time being. I'm pretty use if qualifies as FOSS, I'm just worried that Microsoft will stop helping the moonlight guys and we'll all get screwed.

    you're the first person I've ever seen that hates HAL, 2 e-cookies for you. Jokes aside I don't HAL will ever be an requirement at the very most you'll have to compile binaries with out HAL support...

    KDE doesn't use HAL, they use solid which uses HAL. (if my memory serves me right). They just need to adjust solid to work with DeviceKit and everyone (KDE 4 developers) will be fine.

    mostly it's super sensitive, and touching it does weird things like copy and paste things.

    The KDE 4.0 in this Ubuntu is the same one from before (with more bug fixes) wait a few more months and KDE 4.1 should be here that's what you're looking for.

    KDE 4.0 is stable enough for everyday...
