try this :

sudo apt-get install bum
This would be placed in your systemtools.


donot try to remove everything. Just deactivate what you know might not effect your PC.

Try nomodeset option while boot. That would solve ur problem.
After install u may also install the EMGD 1.8 drivers from the ppa to get the best resolution and effects of GMA 500.

I think u could just repair with the WIN cd/DVD . Then with system tools and partition manager of windows, formatting of the other OSs can also be done

u would need GMA 500 drivers for that.
then u would get 1366 full resolution.
Lubuntu 10.4 worked good for me.
Overall how is urs doing??
