Re: QSynth w/ Incompatible Virtual MIDI Input

Ha! Dude, you saved my bacon! Thanks so much. :) I was sure I had tried that, but I guess I must have had some other settings changed at the same time. It works just fine now. Thanks CrocoDuck!

QSynth w/ Incompatible Virtual MIDI Input

Does anyone know why QSynth doesn't have a compatible virtual MIDI input for a program like VMPK? Is this a problem that anyone else has run into?

    I've attached my QSynth settings.
  5. Re: Enabling Auto-Rotation on Toshiba Portege M700 with Mint 12 (Oneiric Ocelot)

All that it returns is that both dock.0 and dock.1 are directories. I tried both of the cat commands you suggested. Why do you think that it sees them as directories only, and not proper events?

The Gimp solution worked perfectly. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. :D

I am attaching here the output from "ls -anR". Do you see anything that can be used as a "tablet_mode"...

[ubuntu] Re: HP Thermal Shutdown Ocurred

This seems to be more and more of a common problem. It looks like it's a firmware bug in older versions of Insyde BIOS. I flashed BIOS yesterday, upgrading it from F.0A to F.0F, and the problem sadly...

[ubuntu] Re: Never had this problem before

Sometimes things get changed when making the new releases of Ubuntu. Other times, things might just be set up differently when you install the new version. Maybe 9.10 set your system up better for...

    [ubuntu] Re: Gnome shell problems

I get the same error in Lucid Lynx. Gnome Shell is still buggy. If you can't find a bug report on it (which is unlikely), you might want to consider filing one.

Alright, so, I've gotten to the bottom of the error PostgreSQL reported at startup, which was causing the server to fail to start properly at boot.

Did you get any other errors besides "authentication failure"?

Try booting into the "Terminal" option and see if you can log in that way.

Probably not, but I don't know. Let us know if that option in Remastersys does what you want it to. I've been wondering if it really works, but have never been able to find an excuse to try it yet.

KDE is pretty, but very confusing for me, personally. I also believe that the KDE version in Karmic is probably still very buggy. I would either upgrade to Lucid or give Gnome a shot.
