PS.: Thinking of trying ivtv-utils as soon as I get home.
Hi,
I've bought a PixelView PlayTV USB Hybrid (SBTVD), and I don't know which driver I should use to configure it under Ubuntu (10.04).
I've already STFW and STFF but found no real help for...
It seems that the command below does what I wanted, although its description is somewhat strange.
gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/SlabMenu
Hi, there,
I've installed some programs just to test'em, but not I've uninstalled them. However their keys in gconf still remain. How do I erase them?
Thanks in advance.
hooray! it worked! thanks!
:D :D :D :D :D
The problem remains. :(
I've tried
sudo umount /mnt/sdc3
sudo chown myuser:myuser /mnt/sdc3
sudo mount /mnt/sdc3
than moving the file to trash, but the result is the same: the system only allows me to move files...
If I delete something from /home I'm able to send it to the Trash. The problem is with files outside /home.
Hi, there,
I have 5 ext3 filesystems mounted as follows:
/dev/sdb1 on /home type ext3 (rw,noatime,nodiratime)
/dev/sdb2 on /mnt/sdb2 type ext3 (rw,noatime,nodiratime)
/dev/sdc1 on /mnt/sdc1...
I have the same problem as you do.

Hi,
I have a laptop (Intel Core2Duo T7500, Nvidia 8600M 512MB) running Ubuntu HH 8.04 (nvidia-glx-new and nvtv are installed). I connected my TV to it with a composite cable but the display is...
hummm... I'll change mistyping to miscopying. :-\"
I am really really hating this new forum. Since the upgrade I couldn't manage to do any search. This hateful image verification says I never write the correct words. And there's no way I'm mistyping...
Same problem here...
It is not working...
What about the directories? kxmame is looking for them in the wrong path (/usr/lib/games/xmame).
I've installed kxmame, xmame and xmess in my system hoping to play some cool old game, but xmame is not recognizing my game files. How can I solve this? Or at least, how can I make myself sure that...
I don't know BSD enough to compare, but Debian & Sons does not provide you an option to install a specific version of a package, or to install a package without its dependencies, for example. Gentoo...
I have no choice at work, but at home I use only Linux for almost 5 years.
Well, Ubuntu is not Gentoo, but it's still Linux. It would be good to you to search there also. There are very good admins there.
