    But for the dock and the preview, don't we need beryl by default?

    It says something about not being able to modify a file (do not remember which one). So I tried with sudo vmware and it started. Now it is working fine

    great guide,

    just let me add one thing. If you have the same problem I had with VMWare not starting. You can go to the terminal and type vmware hit enter and see if it claims about "libgcc.s.s0.1"...
