  3. Re: Not detecting windows 7 in a triple booting process

Have you turned off Fast Start Up in both your Windows systems?

Have you backed up all your data?

Do you have Windows repair disks?

Do you have more than one disk on your PC?

    Do you have...
  4. Re: Not detecting windows 7 in a triple booting process

Before you proceed any further, are you familiar with the following:-

    Secure boot

  7. Re: My Dual Boot Does Not Work To WinXP From Grub Menu, Help?

    @oldfred

I'm sure that some of the actual repair processes of boot-repair will only work if the utility is run in a live session.

    Re: CTRL + ALT + F7 shortcut

Ubuntu used lightdm during the Unity years and then changed to gdm3 when gnome-shell became the default - 18.04 if I were to guess.

I suspect that the Ctrl Alt F1 > F7 changed at the same time.
  9. Re: My Dual Boot Does Not Work To WinXP From Grub Menu, Help?

Line 92 of https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/kG2ccgDWW6/ shows that the report was created in an installed system.

Is it not more usual to run the boot-repair utility in a live session?

  11. [kubuntu] Re: Logitech M185 Wireless Mouse - Suspend Woes

Yes, you could be right - Is there anything unusual about your PC that leads you to this possibility?

Now, just to pour more oil on troubled waters ;), I'll mention that Logitech Unifying...

I don't have access to Bionic 18.04 but the OP mentioned 20.10.

  14. Re: System sound stopped on ubuntu studio

You haven't been precise about which version you are using.

    Ubuntu Studio 20.04 uses XFCE
    Ubuntu Studio 20.10 uses Plasma

Settings will be in different places depending on the interface in use.

  17. [kubuntu] Re: Logitech M185 Wireless Mouse - Suspend Woes

Sometimes, when waking up the PC, I have to wiggle the mouse and hit the enter key a few times, but this seems a bit unscientific.

Regrettably, I have no more useful suggestions.
  18. [kubuntu] Re: Logitech M185 Wireless Mouse - Suspend Woes

Suspend to Ram or Suspend to Disk?

    Change battery in Mouse?
    Change USB port for receiver?

I've used a Logitech M185 for 4/5 years and it has never given a problem..........

Post no. 1 - You are using 20.04

A Windows update destroyed your Ubuntu installation - I hope I have understood that correctly?

Secondly, after you have installed Ubuntu 20.04, it all works fine until you change a setting?

I set my system notification of new Ubuntu version to Never, because the release dates are easy to remember.
  25. [ubuntu] Re: "Oh no! Something has gone wrong." after upgrading to 20.10

Excellent - Backups are a lifesaver.

Your 20.10 was non-functional following an upgrade, it may be fine for you freshly installed.

However, I always remain on LTS releases for daily use and...
