  1. [ubuntu] Re: Setting up Drupal from repository with seperate database server

Well, after going though everything, the repository package is definitely broken. It doesn't work.

Just download it from https://drupal.org/project/drupal and save yourself some hassle.

    Make...
  2. [ubuntu] Re: Setting up Drupal from repository with seperate database server

I also had to make /var/lib/drupal7/files writable and executable, and make /etc/drupal/7/sites/default/dbconfig.php read/write.

does defaultsettings.php need to be writable as well?
  3. [ubuntu] Re: Setting up Drupal from repository with seperate database server

  5. [ubuntu] Re: Setting up Drupal from repository with seperate database server

I work a small department in a big bureaucracy. It was determined that any database that could contain sensitive info be on a non-public IP address. Since a web sever is a public IP address, that's a...

Re: Recovering from NTFS disk with TestDisk

Thanks, that makes all the sense in the world. I have it copying in Clonezilla, using "q1" which I believe will do a sector-by-sector copy of the disk using "dd".

Re: Recovering from NTFS disk with TestDisk

Thanks for all your help. I'll try to clone the disk with Clonezilla then see if I can't just make the partition active -- if it will let me with the size error it gave me. I'm not sure how to get...

Re: Recovering with TestDisk - Stuck

The output above in the code blocks is copied (by hand) directly from the screens. I guess I could connected it to the network and copy the terminal output over, but the contents would be the same.

Recovering from NTFS disk with TestDisk
