    I just blacklisted the evbug module.

    It's often temporary (as mentionned). Usually, it's fixed the next day with the mirrors update.

    Did it just happen or did it start a few days ago ?

    This happened to me once or twice when one of the repos was broken (dependencies not satisfied etc), it happens sometimes with development ppas .

    I usally wait until the next day to try again,...

    I have the same problem: crackling sound on videos though only with AC3. I too have a creative X-Fi (Xmod usb).

    Could it be related?
