out of curiosity and also sometimes i prefer a fresh terminal rather then a cleared one (clear) which just pushes 'prompt' forward number of lines to hide previous commands/lines

I know restarting the machine can be:

sudo reboot
sudo shutdown -r
sudo init 6

What if i just want to restart the terminal program?

Is there a simple command to exit terminal then open it...

I manage to solve this by installing nVidia Proprietary driver for Linux


sudo apt-get install nvidia-current


it loads up on boot with correct resolutions

How do i get firefox or chrome/chromium private browsing in Xubuntu 14.04? I normally on Windows or Elementary OS just right click and opt for Private Window or Cognito Mode

i managed to remove them....

went through...

after installing playonlinux and wine... i decided to remove them... running sudo apt-get purge only removes playonlinux but wine doesn't seem to be removed at all...

help please...
