I mean please discuss the picture in this Brainstorm link
Today I thought a preliminary approach to the behaviour of Brainstorm posters and voters might be in order. Since I have no means of attaching the picture I want to discuss on Brainstorm, I am...
Acapulco, WMD for me worked without any code modification (Gutsy amd64, python 2.5). Have you checked your Config.py ? Read my post in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=317047
Thanks Kelimion for the update. Later daily builds are booting ok and I was planning to post an update here. Then I discovered that even Tribe 1 works, one just has to wait - the mounted iso is...
I saw that there were no reports yet for Gutsy-desktop-64 on the ISO testing tracker and so I decided to give it a try as a VM guest under WinXP 64 SP2 and latest VMware (6.00 build 45731)

I don't know if you already have tried this, but did you attempt writing on the slowest speed available? In general, linux CDs and DVDs contain so many files that many burning programs (especially on...
The betas are out! Check:

I hope these were the 2 critical (and duplicate imho) bugs on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+milestone/7.04-beta
Does this mean that we will have a 0321 build today? Can't wait !
0320: No progress on today's build (0320), I posted comment on the bug thread :(
0320.1: No changes in 0320.1 also released today
0322: Today's rebuilt amd64 live iso (0322) did not fix...
No joy here either :-(
Tomorrow is another day...
I was too a bit confused about this announcement initially. Perhaps it is so generic because (I wildly guess now) it was cross-posted to all ubuntu (tester and non-tester) communities and possibly...
Thanks Henrik will certainly try today. The bug activity link you provided is restricted but I will report results in the bug thread.
I am still stuck with bug #84964 and cannot boot the 0317 amd64 livecd on my Asus P5B-VM (and most people with 965 chipsets can't even boot from HD if using the newest kernels).
Unfortunately,...
Thanks Hendrik, I stand corrected. I did have a quick glance on this bug list before posting but I did not see it (I tend to think bugs are strictly malfunctions so I did not expect to see it there)....
I'd really hope to see in the beta a somewhat improved display of the messages in cd testing for defects (see attached screenshot from amd64 desktop), at the end of a livecd session ("remove the cd...
Thanks Henrik. The people updating their existing feisty installation to Herd5 are still confused on what version they have (see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=378391). At least cd testers...
Thanks pochu, it seems I must learn to wait for the isos to come fresh out of the oven :-)
Regarding the link, you are correct. It's the one I still use to download the isos with cwrsync, and the...
Please make a new sticky about Herd5. The existing one about Herd4 is 2 weeks old and might mislead people that 5 has not been released yet.
Can someone please explain why there are no daily builds since 0305 ? Is some major repackaging under way?
In addition, /current is empty in cdubuntu (see e.g....
ermmm.. herds come and go seeking for food it seems :-)
No Herd5 in http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/feisty
Seems that 0301.1 builds listed in launchpad...
Good to know it's already on lauchpad, I just read in feisty discussions that 0301.1 amd64-d was released. Getting it with cwrsync and testing asap.
0301 was very nice so I hope .1 did not mess...
UPDATE: same applies to 0301.1, which is probably Herd5
After almost one month of hiatus due to work pressure, I am back on amd64 desktop testing, always in VMware. I found that 27 and 28 Feb...
Getting amd64 desktop as I write using windows rsync, no problems.
Perhaps it's server overload (all ubuntu sites are overloaded due to the overwhelming success of Herd3....)
Just keep trying
Interesting... this is a well-known bug (see e.g. bug #76976 and bug #81938 ) that should be gone in 20070131 (at least it's fixed in amd64 desktop which I tested).
Please have a look at the above...
According today's sticky post by Henrik, expect a frozen version in 1-2 days!
