Well, anyway, KDEs...
I'm really not sure, I know there are a lot of commercial applications that are really good, such as Cedega (which could be compiled from CVS and distributed freely with Ubuntu, no?). But I still...
install build-essential debhelper libx11-dev libxv-dev libpng12-0 libpng12-dev checkinstall libavcodec-dev aalib1 libaa1-dev libaa1 caca-utils libcaca-dev libavcodec-dev libavifile-0.7-dev...
Oh, I missed the edit. :p
I'll try that, thanks! :)
EDIT:
It worked, thanks alot! :)
Great howto, has worked on my stationary PC several times, on my laptop however I get this problem:
make -C libavcodec LIBPREF=lib LIBSUF=.a
make[1]: Entering directory...
Ah, okay... I just didn't understand. :)
*rubs hands together and puts on his evil grin*
I'm sorry, what?
I've thought about that already, actully. :) Problem is, my cam is four versions to early for support in linux. :p (this is the first model, the fifth has support in Linux)
I've been thinking a little. Would it be possible to use this to have webcam conversations with MSN? Or would I need a Linux-supported webcam for that?
I'm guessing the second, but it might...
It's not even .6, it's .06. :)
I always say Ubuntu 5.04 (Ubuntu five point o four). :)
I like both names though. :)

EDIT: Corrected my horrible math. :P (5.10 - 5.04 !=...
Hopefully KDE will stay in Kubuntu and keep away from Ubuntu.
That's it, I'm int he mailing list.
This is SO great news, nice to see that there really is a distro that aims to actully compete with Microsoft!

Didn't someone just say that I could shape a PC connected before the router to get the same effect as shaping my router?
...why? :) Recently upgraded PC?
No, I have a DLink 604. And no PC with dual network ports to be connected before the router.
What URL?
Meaning I can't shape when on a router?
That's odd, when I read about how shaping worked it would seem that it just limits my bandwidth so that there won't be any queues at my ISP, since that takes...
But if you have a router and it's the router that's connected to the Internet, then this would be it, right?
As in my case...
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:80:48:1E:77:B0
...
Wops, I missed that. :p :)
Do you specify bandwidth in kilobits or megabits?
See? Told you this was the place to ask. :)
Right, I can't belive how I forgot the CDs right after recivein 13 of them. :) And of course, the package servers must take enormous resources to fund....
But that's just for aMule, right? Or can you use trickle for other apps as well?
But there might be someone here who knows. I figured this was the best place to ask.
Now I tried pinging www.sunet.se while changing the speeds, but I just can't see a very big difference, I get around 15ms all the time. :s
And still my connectivity with Jpopsuki is set as "bad"....
What exactly are Shuttleworth's money being used for? I know it's for the development of Ubuntu, but how are they distiributed?
Are they just sent to random people who contribute to Ubuntu, are...
