  1. [SOLVED] After Ubuntu install can't boot from DVD/USB pendrive (solved)

I've been running Linux Mint on my PanP5 and thought I'd try Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. I created a bootable USB pendrive and the Ubuntu install went OK. After a couple of reboots (I don't remember...

[all variants] Re: PanP4; booting a FAT32 USB thumb drive

The USB drive that works is 1GB; the one that doesn't work is 8GB. The image file that I tried to use was about 1.1GB; the Universal USB Installer program reads the ISO image and copies the files...

[all variants] PanP4; booting a FAT32 USB thumb drive

I've got a PanP4 with the BIOS that was shipped with it (1.02.22S76). When creating a bootable USB drive, I've found that the PanP4 will not boot from a USB thumb drive formatted as FAT32 but will...
  4. Re: "Connect Automatically" is checked but wireless still doesn't.

This isn't any help but I always had spotty luck trying to automatically connect to a hidden network. I finally un-hid the network and hope my MAC filtering a WPA phrase will keep me secure. With...

[ubuntu] Re: i'd like to off 11.4 and return to 10.10

I did this by backing up my Documents folder (everything I want to keep is in that folder) to a thumb drive and then did a clean install of 10.04. Not sophisticated but it worked.

  7. [ubuntu] Re: Is it worth moving from 10.04 to 11.04 on PanP5?

I did an online upgrade from 10.10 to 11.4 (PanP5). The upgrade went fine but Unity left me a bit cold; it seems like a solution to a nonexistant problem on a laptop or desktop computer; change for...

I've tried all of those things; my stuck pixels remain stuck. To retailiate against them, I've chosen a desktop image which makes them harder to see. It's not the end of the world but if I ever...

    32- or 64-bit on a 64-bit machine?

Greetings. Tonight I went to download the 10.4.1 refresh for my 4 GB Panp5 and saw what I thought was something odd. A radio button on the download page lets you select 32-bit ("Recommended for...

[ubuntu] Re: Brand new Pangolin beeps and won't start :|

This isn't much help and I could be wrong but I think the blinking numlock/capslock keys mean you've got a kernel panic.

I was wondering the same thing, so I clicked on the Install Drivers tab and then the Install button and rebooted. Not sure if it was necessary but no ill effects (Panp5).
