Bump?
Whether it is Firefox, Writer or any number of programs, once I close a window it should go away...but doesn't go completely. A "ghost" of that window lingers. Also, when opening a tool window, such...
Thanks for the reply. Funny you should mention 1.2, I did try that last night. I got sound and was happy until I clicked "Enter" (to start) and 3 more instances of Mugen started up, and it got REAL...
First, Mugen works great in Xp just to let ya know that it isn't the game.
Second, My sound works great for everything else.
So I installed Wine 1.0 today via Synaptic and ran MUGEN and it looks...
I don't like major changes to my OS when things are already working great. Case in point, while I have tried each upgrade since Feisty, I have only stayed with Feisty, Hardy and Lucid. Right away...
Aaahhh yes, my new motherboard came with that! My old one did not have that option. Anyhow, once I got the new mo.bo. the computer starts from disc as it should (according to the startup order I have...
Thanks anyway!
Sound is WAY too quiet in Ubuntu, even with my speakers and the DESKTOP sound turned to max. But I just found a very curious volume controller by right-clicking my volume control icon. "Sound...
Same thing as SteveHillier over on my end. Dual monitors with an over-zealous "Unity" button bar on the left side of my right monitor effectively placing a ridiculous bar in the middle of my desktop....
You're kidding... we CAN'T move the menu bar? Am I logged into Windows by mistake?
I have this new, fancy, and totally annoying vertical panel of buttons that thinks it needs to be on the left...
And a year later...saaaaame old **** in a very similar pile. I put up with the PC freezing up 3 times a day or more, for MANY months, just hitting restart and trying again. It would lock up...
Yikes. No replies after so long?
I will reply to myself then. After getting a new motherboard with on-board vid-card and new RAM, image viewing (including desktop image switch, which was painfully...
THANKS!
I am so glad I decided to come check the forum to see if anyone else had this problem!
sudo apt-get remove adobe-flashplugin
Then install the version you can download from here:...
Totally! WTF? Bump!
Hi. I just thought I would add my 25cents 2 years after the last post because it is still marked "unsolved" and I came here looking for help for a similar issue.
Until 30seconds ago, all Vimeo...
Hi. I just thought I would add my 25cents because until 30seconds ago, all Vimeo gave me was a still image of the video but no play button. YouTube was fine, and I could watch Vimeo vids via Chrome....
Solved btw.
Ended up running just the CDRom, then plugging in the hdd after the live disk started up.
Just popping back in to mark the title Solved. Thanks again.
Joshzam, you rule. Thanks buddy!:KS
EDIT.
Ok, perhaps trying to follow my old directions on setting up Conky may have caused some problems...and have no idea precisely what I screwed up this morning, but right now, everything works...
Thanks guys for responding.
I feel a bit silly now for thinking I should just use the process for setting up Conky that I did a full year ago on Hardy. I bet it is even easier to set up than I was...
I just installed a fresh Lucid L. My conky was awesome in my last distro (hardy) and even though today I got my conky working for the most part (in Lucid), and my Rhythmbox section is working, my...
