Simply create the user on your system.
Option 1:
USing the GUI: System -> user and group -> Create new user.
Make sure the 'bin' is set to false.
Make also sure they have an alias...
-Make sure you have this inside proftpd.conf (preferably inside your upload directory section)

I'm slowly tring to pull her toward linux. Looking around the web, i cam to the conlusion that Xubuntu 8.04 lts...
hopefully, with all the thread and post about issues with video drivers they will see that they might have drop these drivers a little too soon.
I wish i could go on with jaunty, it's really nice...
