    I just upgraded from 13.10 to 14.04 and the system won't boot (it's not dual boot). Ran boot-repair from Linux Secure Remix disc. Tried both recommended and advanced, but I keep getting a message...

    MY repair failed with a message to close my package managers and try again. I can't see how my package managers are running since I can't boot the system.
