    Re: stopping closing threads!

Usually after things settle down, and we're not overworked to the point of having ulcers, we open a thread for suggestions. We explain it to people that we will most likely ask for input again once...

    Re: stopping closing threads!

(although this is out of context for this thread, I believe I should give you a few notes as to how we handle some situations in particular.)

    Re: stopping closing threads!

As matthew has said, this is not what the original poster intended for this thread and that kind of discussion would belong in a different thread.

Before posting that thread, you may want to look...

    Re: stopping closing threads!

    To the original poster:

We have asked that all threads regarding the theme and layout be stopped as of now, since we are working very hard on *MANY* things. There may be a point of time in the...

    Re: TOO much of ubuntu......

We couldn't make it work correctly, nor could we make filtering features work for it, so it was dropped.

Re: Forum Upgrade Bugs & Glitches

I know you were trying to help. I didn't want you to think we just ignored what you suggested.

We're looking at ways of making the number re-spawn, but there is no guarantee that it won't pick...

You are very, very welcome. I have explained this same thing to fuscia in this thread: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=214005

Re: Forum Upgrade Bugs & Glitches

Nope, we don't. Kind of odd that you would ask that since it's only an "adblock plus" issue and not a "Firefox" issue.

Re: Forum Upgrade Bugs & Glitches

That's part of the internal forum software engine and not something we're going to want to mess with - for *many* reasons. Also, since it's a generated name, the "ad" in the middle could change at...

Re: the closing of the syd barrett thread

Exactly the reason the thread was split.

Please don't hesitate to start your own thread on this topic to discuss it if you want. :)

Re: Forum Upgrade Bugs & Glitches

Actually, your problem is most likely an issue with the browser version. If you "view source" on the page, do you see this, near the top:
    <!-- CSS Stylesheet -->
    <link rel="stylesheet"...

Everyone that is seeing the forums without a stylesheet should try doing a "hard refresh" which is a CTRL+F5 (where you hold down the Ctrl button and press F5) - that should take care of the problem.
