    Re: Linux's counter-action to Windows 8?

    No one cares who copies who. They all do and its up to so and so's legal team to debate it. If an idea is good and you can't get sued copy it!
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Increase background task processor power

    Re: An "Ubuntu Forums" circle on google plus

    That just links to any users own profile. (I am not sure how to get the public profile url, mine showed it in the top, but I know other browsers like Opera did not).

    Which was mentioned however Ubuntu was mentioned by the writers of the show not the character. And the actor mentioned he is not much like his character in real life. :)

    Re: Are you truly happy?

    I would not exactly call myself Buddhist (yet), but I loved learning about it and found a lot to agree with.

    Re: Installing C compiler

    Try removing python 2.7 if possible, though this is not a normal error, you must have added incompatible repositories. You probably should just back up data and reinstall.

    [SOLVED] Re: Why are ubuntu fonts .... so thick?

    Why do people complain about fonts like it is the end of the world. You can try fixing settings with fontconfig, this works on Debian but I am not sure it works on ubuntu:

    sudo dpkg-reconfigure...

    [ubuntu] Re: two CPU's undulating juxtaposed

    If tasks jump cpus too often you can add this line to /etc/rc.local:

    echo 1500000 > /proc/sys/kernel/sched_migration_cost &&

    Or just run that command above as root to make the change temporary....
