Could be a permissions problem. Check the Apache log (somewhere in /var/log) when you attempt to use the buttons. Could also be a problem with your web browser, possibly scripts being blocked.
Download the latest version of Torchlight from HB. The 2012-09-24 version doesn't have the portal crash problem. It still crashes occasionally but the game makes a backup at every map transition...
Torchlight 2012-09-20 version fixed portal crashes but player avatar is still faceless. Installer would crash (segrault) unless previous version (2012-09-18) was uninstalled first.
Has anyone been able to use myscreen-dbus.py (comment #94) on Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin)? When it's running it doesn't seem to exist on dbus:
qdbus org.gnome.ScreenSaver /ScreenSaver...
(for anyone finding this old question from a web search)
Solution: Install "kdm-gdmcompat" package
That was added in 1.2 and I'm not sure who all had access to the 1.3 broken version. Some of my clients did. Compared to 1.2 the changes were mostly cosmetic.
I updated scanner-access-enabler to v1.4 which corrects a detection bug in v1.3 (basically it didn't detect anything). You can download it from my MediaFire account here.
An image scanner is like a photocopier. You put a picture on its scanning glass and it makes a graphics file from it for your computer. This thread is about sharing an image scanner over a network...
Possible solution to bug #29263:
nfs-lan
I tried that and had the same result. It probably failed because /usr/bin/firefox is not the main binary, only a shell script. Look in /etc/apparmor.d/disable for a link to the old firefox profile...
I haven't had time to test it. Some of my scanners have gone to customers so I have less to test with.
When are you going to set up a real web site for PHP Scanner Server instead of just using...
Looks really good but I was confused by the paper manager. The boxes look like check boxes and I thought I was supposed to check which sizes I wanted but clicking one deletes it instead. A little...
It's not meant to be started by a desktop file but rather from /etc/rc.local:
#!/bin/sh -e
#
# rc.local
#
# This script is executed at the end of each multiuser runlevel.
# Make sure that the...
Scanner Access Enabler v1.2 adds a non-interactive/silent mode via a "-s" parameter.
"paperconf -a -N -w -h -m" outputs in mm, the same as "scanimage --help --device <device>". I don't think that scanimage has any simplified output for parsing by other programs (at least nothing...
Just create the /usr/local/share/applications directory with the usual root ownership and rwxr-xr-x permissions.
"paperconf -a -N -h -w" gives you most everything.
That is in the output from...
The man page for paperconf ("man paperconf") is a little confusing but "paperconf -a" gives you the list.
Looks interesting.
The /usr/local subdirectory is used for programs and data that are...
Seems to be fixed.
Seems to be fixed.
The "scanimage: sane_read: Error during device I/O" error results in an incomplete PSS error message:
"Make sure the scanner is turned on and plugged into...
I tested PSS on Lucid with the UMAX, Mustek (configured with the parallel form), and SJ 4470c. They all functioned.
Bugs:
If preview button clicked in "Use Scanner" but file was deleted (through...
Sorry. That should have been "scanimage --help --device <sane device>"
Looks good but since you are creating a complete rewrite you shouldn't call it a beta of LSS. Give it a new name like phpSANER (as compared to phpSANE) or phpLSS.
I'm not sure what you mean by...
My Scanner Access Enabler uses "sane-find-scanner -p" to identify parallel port scanners but it only works for Mustek models. The correct sane conf files have to be manually edited as well so having...
You can't. The name in particular has to be manually entered. I think this is because the protocol parallel-port scanners use doesn't supply the information. You should just use the...
A copy is part of my LSS patch. I'll attach it separately for you (it will have a .txt extension because the forum doesn't allow .conf). It has to be manually created and needs to match the...
