    [ubuntu] Re: VPN speed?

Your data is coming from the VPN endpoint. If all they give you is 5Mbps then you could have a million fibre channels it'll still come down at the slower speed.

Re: tar archive - empty directories

Those are system directories that help the system access the hardware and the processes that are running. They should also be excluded

  8. Re: TouchPad & Hibernation Not Working in Lenovo Ideapad S145-15IIL

    Try the boot option

    i8024.irqpoll
    i8024.reset
    i8024.nomux
    i8024.noloop

Try them one at a time. I've seen these help with touch pads on Lenovo laptops

  12. [SOLVED] Re: Problems trying to install Brave browser - GPG key issues

The deb file is fine. Your system just needs to be told to trust the 3rd party source you added. Again, you can mark the repo as trusted in the source file. Nothing tricky

    Re: Ubuntu Server Install Plan

You can SSH to the system using powershell. It'd part of a default install so you don't need a GUI to install updates. Just SSH over and run

    sudo apt update
    sudo apt full-upgrade

[SOLVED] Re: Software and Updates application

Did you select automatic updates. Not sure if this is the cause but it is in the same area. If you disable the automatic updates (as a test) does it go away?

    Re: Ubuntu Desktop Autoinstall

If you want something more consistent then I suggest something like chef or puppet. It'll make system setup super easy.

    Re: Ubuntu Server Install Plan

Looks fine. Just use a Linux based file system for the storage and Samba will share it without issue. You could even use NFS or SFTP.

  22. [ubuntu] Re: My computer freezes when I use a USB drive boot and I can't reinstall Ubuntu

Make sure that you have the latest BIOS. It may be an issue which is resolved in the newer version
  23. [ubuntu] Re: Problems verifying .deb of ClamTk from official site

Yes but it all helps. I work with Linux and deploy Symantec Endpoint Protection to all systems. It's just good practice
