Re: Macbook Pro 8,1 + Maverick

There hasn't been any new macbook pro release since the late 2011 models. The "late 2011" refers to the release date of a specific model not manufacturing date.

Re: Macbook Pro 8,1 + Maverick

I get an error when I try to apply the lvds patch.

Update: I fixed the patch problem but the patch fails to apply. All hunks fail. Should I only be doing this on a 3.1 and up kernel?

  6. [ubuntu] Re: 2 finger click and drag on Macbook pro 8.2 Ubuntu 11.10

I think the problem might not be the driver as multitouch is working. I think it's just configured wrong. If I click with one finger then place another finger down on the track pad it registers as a...

  12. [ubuntu] 2 finger click and drag on Macbook pro 8.2 Ubuntu 11.10

Click and drag kinda sucks because you can only use one finger in Ubuntu. In OS X you can click with one finger while dragging with another. Is there any way to do the same under Ubuntu 11.10
  13. [ubuntu] Using the intel HD graphics? Macbook pro early 2011 8.2

Is there a way for me to use the intel graphics instead of the ati graphics? I found some instructions for maverick but the were not that clear and I'm running 11.10.

    [ubuntu_studio] Re: Acceptable XRUN rate?

Haven't disabled compiz yet. Disabling Bluetooth didn't make a difference and disabling wifi helped a little. I would get an xrun if wifi lost connection.

    [ubuntu_studio] Re: Acceptable XRUN rate?

Yeah, gnome+compiz, nvidia gfx. I tried disabling wifi and bluetooth. It's weird because my internal card's idle cpu usage in jack is like 0.9% with the firewire it's like 1.50 to 3%
