I see. Meanwhile, alas, it looks like UFRaw has been removed from all of his PPAs. I suppose I shall have to look elsewhere.

I'll try that. I've tried his build of Darktable, which I like quite a bit. But I don't really want or need the organizational features that it offers.

I don't seem to be able to find it from his PPA. What does your repository line look like? Thanks.

Alas. Available from Pascal's PPA for Karmic and Lucid, but not for Maverick.

    [photography] Re: UFRaw + Lensfun?

Thanks for the quick response. I'd be perfectly happy with 0.16 + lensfun enabled. But the version of UFRaw in the default Ubuntu distribution does not, in fact, have lensfun installed.

    I could...

    [photography] UFRaw + Lensfun?

    Hello all --

Is there a PPA out there where I can get a version of UFRaw 0.17 with lensfun functionality enabled? I know that a version of 0.17 can be had here:

  7. [ubuntu] Re: nvidia proprietary drivers, resume from suspend.

Not totally sure. The latest version available through the Hardware Drivers control panel.
  8. [ubuntu] nvidia proprietary drivers, resume from suspend.

I have found frustratingly little about this online, so I thought that I'd ask here:

I have a GeForce 250 and am running the proprietary nvidia drivers on Lucid. I am able to suspend my computer....

[all variants] Re: New system build, opinions needed.

A9010 -- I did buy that motherboard. And I like it very much, save for two problems: 1) the built in ethernet seems to have quit on me. And 2) because of the USB3, Linux won't go to sleep. The...

[ubuntu] Back In Time Cron Scheduling Problem

For a while now, I've been using Back In Time to create backups of my home directory on an external drive. I've recently noticed that it has stopped backing up automatically. Today, I did some...

    [ubuntu] Re: gnome-keyring-daemon weirdness.

Alright. I know that I'm keeping this thread single-handedly alive, however: I figured out what is causing the problem. When auto-login is activated on my account, I have no access to the...

    [ubuntu] Re: gnome-keyring-daemon weirdness.

I spoke too soon when I said I resolved this. After working for a couple of days, I'm back to not being able to connect to the gnome-keyring-daemon. Looking at my auth.log, I seem to get the...

    [ubuntu] Re: gnome-keyring-daemon weirdness.

I actually resolved my problem this afternoon. Though perhaps not in the most painless way. I backed up my data, deleted my account, and created a new one. It took an hour or so to restore my...

I hate to bump my own thread, but I find this problem really confounding.

    [ubuntu] gnome-keyring-daemon weirdness.

I'm running an up-to-date installation of Lucid, and have come upon a little problem. It seems that applications are having trouble communicating with gnome-keyring-daemon.

I'm pretty much decided on the RAM. I will be using vbox. But more pressing, I do a lot of photo editing. I don't know what the memory needs are for bibble / GIMP. But I'll probably be dual...

    Hello everybody --

I just ordered the components for a new system build, and now, before it ships, I thought that I would run the configuration by this forum and see if I can't get some opinions...
