    mm if you have ubuntu i think it's better winff or pytube
    if you kubuntu you could try fuoco tools it works fine in gnome too but it's a bit different from the others , winff pytube
    for fuoco tools...

    it's a codecs problem only xvid and 264 codec can handle dual or more core , if you use others ffmpeg or mencoder will not use multicore

    no cinellera sucks formats (blender can open them...that cuz i use blender)

    i know cinellera handle ogg
    so:
    ffmpeg2theora

    ffmpeg2theora -v 10 -a 10 -x 720 -y 576 INPUT -o OUTPUT

    x= 720...

    i am using 0.7.3 .... just installl 0.7.2 as you can read in this topic then download 0.7.3 unpack it in your home or where you want and then create a laucher linked to smile file and it works :)
