I have the same computer (Inspiron 1501) and I'd just like to chime in and say that I have the same problem. I can't resume from suspend all the time and it's really really annoying. I have Arch...
I'm having the same problem and I could really use something like openmedspel. Maybe I set something up wrong?
I hope so too, I can't take credit for it though, I got it from somewhere else out there on the internet (though I can't find it right now for some reason). So whoever you are that first figured this...
Did it work for ya then?
I had the same problem, here's how I fixed it:
1. Open up ccsm (if you don't have it install it using "sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager")
2. Go to "Window Rules" (and make sure...
I'm having the same problem, I can't get a splash screen to work for the life of me (and I too have startup manager installed).
I had the same issue and I fixed it by running a series of commands that forced dpkg to overwrite the icons. It's kind of a sloppy hack, but it seems to have worked.
I put in "sudo dpkg -i...
Man, you're awesome! I've been looking for a way to get my audio working properly in KDE after switching over and your guide really helped me out and helped me understand what was going on with my...

I'm having the same problem, if someone knows how to fix the issue I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi there, I'm using Open Office 3.0 on Intrepid with the MS Core fonts installed and I noticed that the formatting differs when comparing a file I made in the windows version of Open Office. For...
Hi there, I'm a big fan of wine and I've used it successfully in the past to run all sorts of things including games. I just recently got a program called Bibleworks and I've read some guides on how...
I installed with the deb from that repo, but alas, all that happens when I start up ggl-gtk is that my cpu goes up to 100% usage and the program never starts. Bummer.
Perfect! Thanks zman! You rock, I can have amarok and firefox going at the same time! Thanks so much, it was really annoying having to close amarok and restart firefox to hear the audio in a flash...
I'm in the same boat, all my openGL apps have this black flickering thing, if there's no fix for it in aiglx I'd rather go back to XGL (though I hope I don't have to).
2 things: You desktop looks great, and you are listening to Psalters which is totally awesome music!
If that's true it's so nerdy it's cool! What a hardcore computer legend he is!
I'm getting the same problem, any help would be nice.
Awesome! Sweet live CD! I'm so glad somebody finally made it easy to try out XGL! XGL is so impressive, it didn't crash once (though I did get this weird glitch where the screen would go black when...
