Ok problem resolved I found out it was a late mounting usb drive. So the system would boot then the drive got mounted, thinking it had been inserted opening it in nautilus.

Hi Ok there are no settings in the bios I have checked, +1 on the physical switch not on. I have tried it both ways and using the fn+f8 key for wireless. I could really do with some more help here.

HI Colo. I was trying to see if ubnutu is wired to win7 and maybe the others wireless so they are on different subnets, That was my thinking why the wont ping.

Check the ip addresses are all the same, if not the they wont.
