I should have speicifed, Gnome-logout is there, but it is only a link to another png image. the png image it links to is "application-exit.png"
Perhaps this has something to do with the icon...

I've recently installed the shiki-colors theme in ubuntu, and was looking to change the user switcher icon. No big deal right?
The icon is marked as "application-exit.png", and I already have the...

It's usually assumed when such a simple question is posed, that the user has already Googled it, since a...
Just as the post says, I am considering getting one, and would like to know how well ubuntu runs on it before buying it.
*The particular model I am getting is the one with the Intel Centrino...
Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a Meerkat NetTop from system 76 and using it as a dedicated Boxee box. Has anyone else done this, and do you have any suggestions? I'm not quite sure how to clone the...
Should have figured that out. Thank you so much.
Okay, so here's where it gets weird. Here is the output from that operation. As you can see, it actually asks for a CD

I see; thank you so much :)
The only mystery left unsolved then is Brassero being grayed out in the update manager. I've searched around and cannot find anything on it.
As my subject says, my updater has been ignoring sources since the update to jaunty, as well as having stopped prompting me when I need to update. Here is the output of "sudo apt-get update"

As the subject suggests, I cannot connect to wifi unless I am right next to the router. When I ran windows, I could connect to my home router (or any for that matter) at even 5% signal, so I know it...
When I tried to boot off a live CD, I was greeted to a black screen with nothing visible but my cursor. Dismissing it, I attempted to install ubuntu on the machine (clean install, no partitioning)....
