I know that gimp is a toy in comparison with photoshop, and i would be more than willing to work with ps, regardless if it's free or not.... however i havn't had any luck in making it work on linux...
strangely enough it's one of the first places i looked.... you get a cmyk menu somewhere under pref which then asks you to select an icc profile for cmyk.... or smth like that... and that's when i...
pretty straightforward ....
this is just hell.... can it be so hard to make a proper plugin that will help the gimp have a chance to become at least remotely comparable to photoshop?

I know it would/could help the community but i never take the time to report crashes, its annoying enough to get them, afterwards I just want to get the mess over with and resume my work. Reporting...
ok, so let me get this straight, i prefer ubuntu to vista out of the following reasons:
-You can have it for free (legally), not that i give a damn about copyright, but no matter what crackers might...
i was aware of the current money system, and mind you the video has QUITE a few inaccuracies, but then again my question was related to the funding of ubuntu... 1o0x for the answers...
you are going to win :)
Just try manipulating an image with 32bit color depth ... or try searching through a .mpc file ... or try opening a big .ppt
Its a stupid bet, there are tons of things...
ok, so ubuntu linux is free, and it can stay that way because none of the code is paid for, and therefore one may think the costs are close to nil....
But then again, think how much money is being...
Although i like your surrealistic manner of using the English language, i really must comment on that. How can you even talk about helpful or informative comments, seeing that you started your first...
Oh, i'm sorry for my rash intervention, the first link is quite nice, but for gods sake delete the last one!!!
are you mad? do you know what "kitchy" means?
If you want to be really hardcore, take your camera, your tripod, and start taking pictures and rotating the camera between the shots ....
