    Well first look in gconf-editor if thumbnailer is properly installed and enabled. If so try remove "~./thumbnails/fail" directory and restart nautilus. Right now i have no more ideas.

    Well this should solve the problem with templates, delete the old one /usr/bin/ooo2-thumbnailer

    sudo rm /usr/bin/ooo2-thumbnailer

    then crate new one
    sudo gedit /usr/bin/ooo2-thumbnailer
    and...
