Ok, I was finally able to solve the problem by installing and using 'blueman' instead of the native KDE bluetooth daemon.

Thanks for the advice, but there is no 'Bluetooth' icon in the 'System Settings' application.

However, after I switched back to 11.04 (on another partition), the icon is there and Bluetooth works...

I just migrated away from Ubuntu and I'm very happy with the way Kubuntu 11.10 works.

However, I'm unable to activate bluetooth support on my ACER Aspire 4741G...

So we have to conclude that an Intel Atom N455 netbook is in no way a replacement for a desktop or laptop system, I guess.

What about netbooks with WIN7 installed ?
Are there known performance...

Maybe I should do a new clean install to solve the problem with sluggish speed.

BTW, I tried the desktop version on my netbook and the system is still slow to respond, much slower than on my Intel...
