Re: Have you purchased a Linux game lately?
An awful lot. Recent examples are things that have been missing from my library for some time; Crusader Kings II, Natural Selection 2, etc. I'm usually found up to my neck in titles like the BIT.TRIP series.
Despite sorely limited funds I try to make a point of buying at least one game a month and devote my time to breaking Steam and Desura clients and games.
Re: Have you purchased a Linux game lately?
Bought Crusader Kings II now too. Looks great!
Re: Have you purchased a Linux game lately?
I've bought Guns of Icarus, Kerbal Space Program, TF2, and FTL. There's a few others as well I think. Most of these I bought in Windows however and they just happen to work on Linux (I generally play PC games on Windows cuz the majority of my games only work in Windows). But the games I play frequently all work on Linux (Guns of Icarus and Kerbal Space Program).
Guns of Icarus is really fun (if you don't know what it is you NEED to go see it). I hear they're adding in an adventure mode to make it more like an MMORPG, which is going to be amazing considering the game. The way it is now is really fun too (you have team deathmatches and such).
Kerbal Space Program is amazing. I love it. :P You NEED to get that one too. It's a space simulator if you don't already know, and you get to design your own rockets.
And obviously FTL is amazing too. I love the sounds it makes so much. ;A;"!!
Re: Have you purchased a Linux game lately?
Preordered: Amnesia - A Machine for Pigs
From Humble Store - without drm, thank you :)
Re: Have you purchased a Linux game lately?
Have the following on Steam-Linux (ubuntu 12.04):
HL2
HL2 Episode 1
HL2 Episode 2
Portal
Team Fortress
L4D2
Wargame European Escalation
Wargame Airland Battle
Raven - Legacy of a Master Thief
Of the lot, the Wargames are phenomenally good! Awesome strategy RTS! I rank it up there with the Total Wars. Actually I would rate it hands down as the best game I've got on Linux! You need a powerful graphics card to get the eye-candy settings on the highest level. On the highest level, it looks photo-finish phenomenal! Especially when you zoom in on the action or track units, and watch devastation unleashed!
I'm also a sucker for Adventure gaming as it reminds me of the games back in the 90's so Raven is an instant favourite for me in the list! It is well written and very cinematic!
I'm looking forward to Metro Last Light but will likely have to buy a Titan to play it once the Titan prices fall in the next month or so now that AMD's R9-290x cards are out.
Also looking forward to whatever Crytek is releasing for linux now that they have opengl-linux developers porting the Cryengine.
Linux gaming future is getting better by the month!

Not recently, but Crusader Kings 2, is the best game ever by far, and it's on Linux. I've spent over 400 hours on that game. Worth every penny. Good company in general (Paradox Development Studio).
While not on Linux yet, StarForge Alpha looks like a cross between Minecraft and Halo. It's still in alpha, and it will be ported to Linux and Mac when it is released. Looks very promising.
0 A.D. has been in development forever, and they're still not close to done. I've all but given up on that game. The leadership is terrible, something very uncommon for opensource.
