Create a non ad-hoc hotspot that works with Android devices?
Is it possible to make my Ubuntu 12.10 laptop use its wireless hardware in the same way as my router or my Android device when that Android does tethering? In other words, is it possible to create a hotspot that is not running in ad-hoc mode (because ad-hoc mode is not visible to Android and other devices)?
Since my Android phone can do this, I thought it should be possible for Ubuntu to do it too?
What I want to ultimately achieve is this: I want to make my Tablet connect to WiFi network (secured with WPA2) that my laptop created and access files on my laptop via shares or via sftp from my tablet without the need of a separate wifi router.
