Remember EasyPeasy? Would you like it to live on?
I suppose you all remember EasyPeasy.
it appears that its development had stopped. I thought I'd revive it, just like I did with ZevenOS. I have moved it to Precise base. I am testing it now. It is blazing fast!
I have not yet seen any distro that fast!
There is little bit of work to on this modification, so I can't post a screenshot yet.
Would you guys like to have it living on?:)
Once done, I may have to change the branding to upload it. Let's see how it goes.
I'd like to upload upgraded ZevenOs too, but must write to the original developer, Leszek Leszner.:)
Good day to you all!

The default wallpaper must be a bowl of peas, or an imageless, pea-green background.

It works quite well with Precise.
When, trying to upgrade Synaptic, the Ubuntu-desktop tries hard to add Unity and uninstall Easypeasy-desktop, but the older Synaptic is good enough.:)
Much easier than working with Unity or Gnome-shell, the launcher stays dimmed underneath. You can even click on the dimmed apps too.
Here are two screenshots

Yeah, actually I am a big fan of the netbook version of 10.04. Bring back that desktop!!

It is so easy to work with, much easier than Gnome3 or Unity. I don't own a touchpad, but I think it works very well with that too.
Actually, now I upgraded it, I don't feel like looking at Gnome 3 or Unity. And how fast it is! ::)
I am using it in my old, but good Lenovo T400. I even installed it on my desktop.
That's the Sri Lankan flag, reflected on glass balls.

Really wished that the old 10.04 netbook-launcher survived. Always thought it was an awesome interface.
Re: Remember EasyPeasy? Would you like it to live on?
Nice going! What is the next step?
......and perhaps you should put a cricket ball alongside the flag and glass balls!

The interface would work better as a hidden launcher like EOS's slingshot. Or better yet there could be an enable to hide the applications window until its actually needed. Apart from that, I wouldn't change it. That's the only modification that might be made to the classic netbook interface.
