Avidemux for Ubuntu 18.04

Has anyone created a version of Avidemux for Ubuntu distributions after Trusty, specifically for 18.04?

All I can now find for avidemux is the downloads available from sourceforge at http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/download.html

I have not used avidemux for many years so can not say how good it is any more.

You could try from various ppa's -

or get and run the appimage

(- after appimage is downloaded mark as executable in it's properties, run in a terminal, screenshot
