I had that before I installed my video drivers... although it happened with correct drivers when I was using an ATI video card.

Oh. I have an ATI card. Figures that is it. Thanks.
ctuchik, I reallly liked you conkyrc, so I totally swiped it :) However, when trying to run it after changing the drives, it saysI have a dual-core processor, why is it giving me that error?Code:Conky: attempting to use more CPUs then you have!
obj->data.cpu_index 2 info.cpu_count 1
Perhaps someone can help ... Conky just started showing random "box" symbols ... please help!
Here is my files and screenshot ....
The weather scripts are pretty much default ..... just with my zipcode and such. If i run without the 3 lines for the weather, it still gives those boxes ... so I know those scripts are not causing it.Code:conky.rc

Please help!!!!
Thanks :)
Took some work, but I got all the ELEMENTS working now. It's just a matter of putting them in the most appealing configuration.
I'd normally center-align everything, but I had to left-align or else every time the song changed the 2nd line changed sizes and that started to drive me effing CRAZY. Not entirely enamoured with things, but we're closer now than ever before.Code:background no

OK, in order to help we need to see your:
- conky file - yes it was posted, but to keep them all together in one post
- weather.sh file
- weather.xslt file
- and your w-days.pl file
I just tried your conky file here and obviously your other files are different than mine even though I have all those files by the same name.
Just a thought here. You have two things that would look nice in the lower-left:
49° - Light Rain
Now playing: song title and info
The rest could be centred along the top with a ${alignc 2}
It just means starting two conkys.
EDIT: Don't think my wife would approve of your desktop image, but I LOVE it!
