Apache Security book by Ivan Ristic. Is this 2005 book still relevant ?
Hi
Just curious... is the Apache Security book, by Ivan Ristic, still valid now? This book is a 2005 edition. I love to read from online sources but for me, nothing replace a real book. So, I wonder if this one still applies or is relevant for Jaunty and current Apache version before hit the "pay" button in Amazon.
Thanks

Some core elements of it might be relevent in some cases, but certainly not all. Some things are just fine in buying older additions, for example, core networking techologies and such. I have an old 1995 edition Data Communications book published by IBM in that year. There are things in that book that are not even explained now in some of the related materials you can buy now.
But when your talking about an application, specifically something like apache, Id say no.

In a short, should I skip this one and save my 20 bucks for a movie with wife :-) ...
Trying to find a nice Apache server book, not too dense, entry level and recently published (1 or 2 years ago), Ubuntu relevant. It is hard to find IMO ...

Apache Cookbook, there is also a Definitive Guide (but the 3rd ed is itself a bit out of date too).
OReilly being the one and only I trust fairly completely.
