I had a problem in Cairo dock where half of the dock icons showed up. Where are the icons stored for basic stuff, like evolution, or open office stored?

I had a problem in Cairo dock where half of the dock icons showed up. Where are the icons stored for basic stuff, like evolution, or open office stored?
/usr/share/icons/hicolor
you could also just drag-and-drop into the dock
Finding this location stumped me for like an hour. Thanks for posting, great help!
